Set You Free!

Telling the truth seems so easy, but when you have a lying problem... Not so much. My name is Brittany, and I used to be a liar.

Such a short time ago, I lied and I lied. Sometimes I lied for no apparent reason, and that is when I knew I had a problem. About 70% of those lies were unkept commitments/promises. I would agree to do a task for someone, and I would just be lazy and half do it or just not do it. I am very ambitious and I have the ability to do most things that I attempt very well. Sadly I allowed the lazy, procrastinator in me to put things off. There is no excuse here. I am a lazy bum!

On the other hand, I would lie to cover up my laziness and shortcomings. I had this unrealistic idea that I had to be perfect at everything, and if I wasn't I had to fake it aka deceive people. I know! It isn't cool! It has backfired, and I'm currently paying for those lies.
I began writing these transparent stories so that I could hold myself accountable. Most people wouldn't expect this of me, but it's true. Don't worry, I have a list of wrongs that I have to right, so if you were expecting something and haven't gotten it, you may get it. If you don't, I wrote you off, because you didn't seem serious.

It feels great to be honest. Dishonesty is seriously a stronghold, that you should kick out of your life.
Be honest. Be true. And set a great example, because someone is watching.

B. Ieisha
